Do deer hibernate? Why or why not?

In my research about deer, I found out that these creatures don't actually hibernate. Unlike certain animals, deer adapt to winter conditions instead of hibernating. They change their behaviors, such as becoming less active to conserve energy, and their bodies undergo physical changes like growing thicker coats to withstand the cold. The reason deer don't hibernate is because they're ruminants, meaning they require a steady intake of food to maintain their body heat, even during winter. So, no hibernation for deer, just smart adaptation!
